Morning Howar..

machine type: Cook double twist buncher
cable : .010 41 ends with a .750 lay nominal, material is a nickel alloy, and the reel is a 250# metal.
unilay construction. We also have the proper closing die, since we are within the required dimensions.

Thankyou

Greetings from Toronto,

The configuration you are running will not allow for a good final appearance and will always have wires “jumping”. Theoretically the lay-up should be 1+8+13+19 which clearly shows the geometrical instability.

Compounding this is the use of a double twist machine.

The use of a modern single twist machine or tubular strander might help.

I would suggest researching the possibility to change the strand construction and certainly the type of production machinery.

Please contact me should you need further help.

Best Regards,

Willy

Greetings from Mönchengladbach:

A single twist machine (reel 1000mm!) will be exposed, developed by Kabel.Consult.Ing at "wire 2008" (Düsseldorf, Germany, booth 10 F75).
