Molybdenum wire drawing was created by Ing Enrico Conte
Good morning to all,
Does anyone have experience in wire drawing molybdenum bars for 4mm approx to 1-1,5mm ?
Do I need a submerged or spray machine?
Which machine elongation is the best solution ?
Thanks in advance to everyone for the collaboration

Dear Enrico:
I am looking for information with my colleagues about your Topic. In advance you could read the following information:
1) .- In the Nonferrous Wire Handbook (Volume 3: Principles and Practice) you can read on page 307 the article about "Fabrication of Tungsten Wire" (Not Molybdenum, but the manufacture is similar.).
2). - Lubrication Mechanisms in Tungsten and Molybdenum Wire Drawing. Part I.Simulated Drawing Experiments.(M.Lee and D.G. Flom). Here you can see a drawing of the process.
3) - A reference company that manufactures this kind of products:is www.luma-metall.se
4) - It is a hot drawing process.
5) - Drawing lubricant is Graphite.
P.S: I invite other members to help our colleague.
Best Regards
Juan Carlos del Rey Menéndez

Dear Juan Carlos
thanks a lot for your reply.
I've read the articles you suggested and I've got all the information I needed .In particular that for molybdenum wire drawing needs a specialized machine
