Hello sharma,
LSF (Low Smoke and Fume) cable is a UK designation and is usually to Ministry of Defense Standard DEF61-12 Part 5LSF.
The materials used are normally sheathing compounds over XLPE (No doubt that is where the "XL" comes from.) or LSF insulations and they have reduced smoke and corrosive gas emissions in a fire when compared with standard PVC insulations.
As we understand it, LSF cable (Low Smoke & Fume) can be manufactured from modified PVC giving off anything up to 18% HCl emissions.
Cables giving off below 0.5% of HCl are classed as Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) and Low Smoke Zero halogen (LSZH) and could also be defined as LSF cable.
We have no idea what an "HST" failure is and you have given us nothing to work with. Does "HS" stand for "High Smoke"? Is the failure one of High Smoke Emission?

Did you ever resolve the sudden drop of melt pressure in conductor shield extruder in your previous thread? If so, what was the problem? HST stands for High Stress test. In this test dumbell shape sample is kept in oven at 200°C with 0.2N/mm2 weighr. If elongation is less than 150% sample is considered as pass. If elengation is more than 150% it is failed.
