Hi everybody,
I´m looking for an inductive sensor to control the quantity of wire in capstans in a wire drawing machine, the ones I´m using don´t run in an efficient way, manly by the distance between the capstan and the frame of the machine
Kindest regards

Hello pedroardila,
I presume this is a zero slip wire drawing machine for steel wire which has vertical capstans and the turns of steel wire build up vertically on each capstan. If my understanding is correct, please advise and I will move this thread over to the Ferrous Section for a period of time as I think we will have more success in getting a response there.

Hello again,
I looked under inductive sensors in Google and found 292,000 entries.
It looks like you are going to have to design your own system with the sensors of your choice.
Make sure when you mount them that the wire cannot tangle around them or get behind them and rip them out of the machine.
Good luck.
