alloy equipment was created by Martin Gerardp Escobar Angel
Hello Dear Forum,
We're planning to run alloy core for 26 gage down in Mexico, I coming to this forum knowledge to ask for some suggestions to run it, I will receive the 2mm core just to pass it to the multiwire, then bunching, in your experience what will be the equipment to run it on the better way?? the strand OD is .16 average ( 7 strands ) and total OD .047 the alloy is Cu-Mg, please give me advices to buy equipment ....need a multiwire and buncher ( thinking in a 14 strands multiwire and two double twist buncher,
thanks in advance to everybody
regards,

Hello Martin,
We note that 2014 Fisk Alloy, Inc. manufactures this product in the USA. See www.fiskalloy.com/product/c18661/ for information on C18661 Copper-Magnesium (CMG1) Alloy Wire. Because this alloy can be manufactured by Fisk in three different tempers, {Half-Hard (H02) Hard (H04) and Spring (H08)} and because it is a high strength alloy, we recommend you discuss this alloy in detail with your machinery suppliers. (Select a number of them so you get the best possible information.) Our concerns include tensile strength and spring back. It is possible you may need a planetary machine like a tubular strander plus perhaps up to three closing dies in a row to lock the strand before releasing conductor tension after the pull-out capstan.
This is essentially all the information we have. Please be very cautious with your machinery selection.
